Minutes of Witham St Hughs Parish Council held on Monday 28th October 2024 at 5pm at the village hall.

Welcome and Apologies.
Apologies were received from Cllr Harrison; it was Resolved to accept the reason for absence and the apology – All agreed, show of hands.

TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interest and requests for dispensations.
None received
3.
a. To consider quotes for work on Cuckoo Park work/repairs.
3 quotes were presented for consideration, after discussions it was Resolved to accept the quote from Wicksteed of £17,914.34 plus VAT. All agreed, show of hands. Cllr Gascoigne offered to contact. Action Cllr Gascoigne
b. To consider self-funding the repairs following the rejection of the REPF application.
Cllr Bell made comment that the Parish Council had been unsuccessful with their application to the Rural England Prosperity Fund, which would have covered the costs for Cuckoo Park renovations.
After discussions it was Resolved to us the Community Infrastructure Levys (CiL) to fund the project. All agreed – show of hands.
