Minutes of Witham St Hughs Parish Council Extra-ordinary meeting held on Saturday 22nd October 2022 at 10am at the village hall.

Agenda Items
1. Welcome & Apologies
The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting. Apologies were received from Cllr Bell.
After discussions it was Resolved to accept the reason for absence and the apology – all agreed, show of hands.
2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 AND OUTLINED IN THE COUNCILS CODE OF CONDUCT – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interest and any written requests for dispensations.
None received
3. To Resolve to fill by Co-option the Parish Councillor Vacancies.
The Chair made comment that two applicants had applied for the Parish Councillor vacancies. Each candidate had sent in a résumé and had a ‘meet & greet’ with the Councillors.
Cllr Harrison proposed to co-opt Mr Fletcher on to the Parish Council, seconded by Cllr Winser. A majority vote in favour of the co-option was received.
Mr Fletcher then signed his Acceptance of Office form; he could then participate in the rest of the meeting.
Cllr Harrison proposed to co-opt Ms Charlotte Strickland onto the Parish Council, seconded by Cllr Hall. A majority vote in favour of the co-option was received.
Ms Strickland then signed the Acceptance of Office form; she could then participate in the rest of the meeting.
The Chair welcomed Cllr Fletcher & Cllr Strickland to the Parish Council & the meeting.
Declaration of Interests form were received from both councillors. Clerk to notify NKDC.

4. To consider the electricity tariff quotes and agree to set prices
The Chair made comment that the Clerk had received 4 quotes for the electricity, the existing contract is due to expire on the 03.01.2023.
After discussions it was Resolved to accept the quote from EDF energy for 25p/day standing charge & 78.5p/kwh.
